hey there people
just had a few concerns, i am getting nervous, and im really busy, i work a lot. first some background, im 21, male, sexually active 4 years or so. ive had sex with less than 10 girls more like 7 or 8. i did have some concern as to hiv, leukemia, lymphoma, etc (just reading up on the internet for symptoms (i know its dumb to do so...)), but i havent been tested yet. im goin in soon (i have a weeks vacation) to get checked out and blood testing done.
anyways my great grandfather died 2 years ago of leukemia (we didnt know until far too late he died quickly after diagnosis), a girl from my home town (16 years old) died recently also of leukemia. i grew up near a nuclear plant (the site of the largest nuclear spill in history, where the reactor blew a main coolant line and spewed thousands of gallons of heavy water into the river which our town resides upon. (not to be confused with the largest nuclear incident -->chernobyll) that i hear some stories about how its not as safe or whatever as they claim apparantly.) anyways thats it for environmental concerns i guess... oh and ive also been a smoker for almost 8 years.
- anyways when i was younger, i was diagnosed with osgood-schlatter disease, it causes the tibial tuberosis to grow causing large painful lumps just under the knee. i have it on both legs, but rather severe (compared to others ive seen who have it). it is also more severe on my right knee. i also have a similar growth on the inside of my right foot, which has always been painless. within the last few months ive noticed that my sternum also seems to be getting a growth at the top of it, about and 1 - 1 1/2 inches below where it branches into the clavicals. ive noticed that my sternum hurts sometimes, and usually when i stretch, i hear/feel a sort of mildly painful pop or crackle.
- i also have swollen glands in my groin, and in my neck beside my carotid arteries. however the one on the right side of my neck is MUCH larger, and feels like two pieces joined together sorta. like theres a line down the middle. i dont really get sore throats, however i do get the feeling of swollen glands sometimes. this has lingered for several years (however the other glands had not seemed to be enlarged or were at least less noticeable, but the one on the right side of my neck has been enlarged for a while, i have been sick for about 2 weeks in march for the last two years, so i could kinda pass it off without too much worry. until now.)
- i also notice that sometimes i get red rashes on my legs not really itchy, kinda blotchy and usually up to about my knees or a bit higher. ive also noticed it on my chest here and there. ive also noticed it only seems to appear after showers, or active periods, etc. ive always kinda figured it was possibly a heat rash or something. they go away after a short period of me noticing them, they do not last for more than an hour at most id say.
- recently ive noticed that my back has been sore for the last week or two (like bone pain) in the small of my back, about level with my belly button.
i believe this is the lumbar region?
- sometimes i feel like i have no energy, and tired, im kinda losing interest in things i used to love doing, or feel less inclined to go out and ride my bike and things like that.
im going to do my best to get in and get checked out. i was just wondering if anyone had similar symptoms and what it turned out to be. any comments or questions are welcome. thanks
