View Full Version : Who gave you your diagnosis, does this sound like TMJ?

For the past 18 months I have had persistent jaw pain (mostly right side), dizziness, headaches, neck pain. These symptoms lead to an MRI and an "incidental" diagnosis of a brain aneurysm. Had surgery last summer to fix that but all symptoms remain (and jaw is worse since they have to cut related muscle during brain surgery).

I continue to see a neurologist to try and see if any of these symptoms are migraines but no definitive yet. The only other thing I can come up with is possible TMJ. I haven't asked my dentist yet (I have a cleaning later this month) and I'm already used up my dental insurance for the year on gum surgery.

I've hit the health jackpot this year! Anyway wondering how folks here arrived at thier diagnosis and from what kind of doctor. I bought a cheap mouth guard at the drugstore but can't wear it without gagging (I have a small mouth).
