On both feet right under my pinky toes towards the outside of my feet I have two(one on each foot) really sore spots,if you barelly touch them a shooting pain runs all the way up my leg. one doctor said they were calluses but I am not sure thats what they are. After a shower I can pull out of each one a very very hard chunk of something which gives me a small hole. If anyone has an idea I would appreciate them. Thanks

Sounds like a callous to me...do your shoes fit properly??? Going without socks, hose, etc?

do calluses hurt that bad? Ihave had them for about ten years. at one point i was able to get a lot of thick stuff (not really puss)to come out of one of them. I way mostly thongs but like i said if i touch them or anything else touch them they are excurishatingly painful all the way to the bone.

from my understanding, a callous is a build-up of dead skin.. so it doesn't sound like you have one to me.. although you could have one and maybe have an underlying infection of some sort. I'd go get a second opinion.

If you are pulling out a chunk of hard skin, thats a CORN you have. Not much can be done for it, and it can be very painful. Wear a wide shoe, try some lambs wool wrapped around the toe. Soak your feet in some epson salts water, and its best to leave them alone or they get worse..... believe me I know! I've had corns for about 40 yrs, their getting worse too. If you see a foot Dr. he/she can trim the corn and you will have some relief but they will most likly come back. Don't use a corn remover, that makes them really hurt!
