Hey ya Joe,

I really hope you read and respond in the next 24 hrs or so, but if not, maybe someone else has some words of wisdom for me. I took your (joe's) adivce and made a Dr appt for tomorrow morning. I want to ask about anti depressants, and would like your input on your experience. So, if you can please let me know what you took (if you don't mind of course) and anything else I might want to ask him about while I am there. This Dr does know my history, infact he is the first one to perscribe narcotics to me. He was just smart enough, soon enough to see a problem happening, and cut me off.

Thank you,
Joan

Joan,

My doctor out me on 10mg of Lexapro.Again,I do want to state I never really knew if I was depressed from the drugs(which I do believe) or was depressed from something else. The fact was that I didn't want to fall back to opiates. It is a good time for you to go because your phsical symtoms will get better day by day. It's how you deal with the mental part that will make or break you.Anti-depreesants are not addicting. They take a few weeks to work. After a few months I felt better menatally and phsically and I stopped taking the Lexapro and never looked back(you do have to taper off anti-depressants).DON"T FREAK OUT ABOUT THIS.Your doctor will explain. There no withdrawals when you stop anti-depressants like opiates.Remember life will still throw you curve balls and life will be boring sometimes but it's a hell of alot better than going that withdrawal again isn't it.Good luck and I'm proud of you.

Joe,

Thank you so much for responding. It just really feels like I am at a place in this thing that if I don't do something right about it, I just might screw up and do something wrong, I'm sure you can relate. I just want to have my ducks in a row tomorrow, I hate it when I leave a Dr office and think of all the things I wish I had asked. :)

Thanks again,
Joan
