Hi Happy Man - Just wanted to share some good news with you! My brother is living with me now ( believe me that is NOT the good news :eek: ) but since you & I last posted, he has been doing GREAT on staying sober! He did have a few beers over fourth of July weekend, but other than that - NOTHING! I got nervous when he drank, but he went right back to drinking seltzer water all evening on Tuesday and has stuck with it. I am relieved, because he was able to drink and then stop again, so if he stays sober now, I will finally begin to relax! :D Thank you so much for all the help, advice and compassion - I will keep you posted! Good to hear from you....Great News..... I just ran across your post today......
That is wonderful news that he has been able to stay sober and even better news that he was able to have a few beers and then "go back to" being sober...... I know you feel better... and I bet he does too.....
Yes, Happy and well here, just had my best comprehensive blood test ever (they checked 45 different things)- cholesterol 150, triglycerides 69, LDL/HDL ratio 1.8, ALL liver enzymes well into normal range (AST 17, ALT 27), and several recent blood pressure readings show 110/65.....
So it must be quite a change for you with him living there :bouncing:
And you are so Welcome for any help or advice that I was able to provide..... seeing your post has really made my day :) :) :) Keep me posted....

HI Happy Man - Sooooo Great to hear that you are doing so well...Your numbers are awesome (at least the ones that I recognize - I'll have to take your word for it on the rest of them :) ) It is a big change having my brother here, but you know, I feel that is what the Lord calls us to do, and if it is helping him stay sober - HOORAY! I have spend the last week in complete relaxation for the first time in so long....I see a light at the end of the tunnel for my brother and his kids...They are so adorable...my neice and nephew ( you know I am prejudice, but they really are) and just 2 & 8 years old, and you have played a part in helping them too....Just want you to know how much I REALLY appreciate your concern for us!! Marirose, I am humbled at your complements... But it is YOU that deserves the credit for bringing your Brother out of the "dark side".....
I can just imagine your cute neice and nephew.....
