My mom has arthritis, or at least I think its arthritis. When she comes home from works she keeps complaining about how her legs hurt, she shows me where it hurts at and its almost all her joints by her legs, they are red and look a bit swollen. She says it keeps on hurting and that rest wont even help it. her doc gave her huge pills for pain but she isnt taking them because she said they arent helping when she tried it the first time. So im wondering...whats next? How can I help her, what can she do at home to relieve the pain? She's 37 by the way.

Hi, I'm 21 and i have Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. It sounds like your mom is having some of the same symptoms i had before i was diagnosed. I was 18 months old when i was diagnosed. My knees would swell up almost looking like baseballs and would be really red. I could barley walk. The joints in my fingers will swell and become red some days and it hurts to bend them. I would recommend seeing a Rheumatologist and having blood work done to see if it is arthritis. I hope everything goes well.
