Hello. I have a situation. I am 22 years old and I have a lump on the outside of my cervix. I do not know what to think of it... and basically I am scared to even go to the doctor to find out if it is cancerous. I do not want my life to be over. I am petrified. Please help me with your ideas of what might be going on. The lump is almost the size of a pea and is kind of on the opening of my cervix, off to the side a bit. I am so scared.

Thank you

You must go to your doctors and get checked out, early diagnoisis is VERY important. I've had cancer of the cervix twice and both times it was caught early. Please don't be afraid, and please, please go see your doctor asap. Let us know how you go on.

It could be anything. One possibility is that you might have what's called
a Nabothian cyst with is a mucus filled cyst that sometimes forms on the surface
of the cervix. They're harmless.
Nonetheless, you should go to the doctor ASAP. Don't be scared, cellular changes in the cervix can be detected early before they turn into cancer. The worst thing you
can do is wait it out.
Are you experiencing any pain or bleeding? How did you discover this lump?

I had the same thing, two small ones that ended up being CIN3 and I just had a leep/laser, now its all gone -- i would see a gyn/oncologist for this and agreed its most likely easily treatable but go ASAP!!
