 Hello again,
I just wanted to say how much I think parents and kids/adults with CF are angels. G-d must have alot of confidence in you all. I was affected by CF when my first love passed away from it 6 yrs ago when she was only 22. And not a day goes by when i dont think about her or look at her picture and smile. Shed some tears too, but mostly am grateful for her gift in my life. And I think its such a shame that there is not alot of 'popularity' for CF in the world. So many people dont know what it is, and while i am more than happy to tell them, it saddens me to think not everyone is aware. At my job we donate to the United Way and I was on the committee one year and we were asked to share a personal story on how UW helped our lives. I wrote a story about Jean (my friend that passed) and I could not get through it w/out crying. As I looked out though, mostly everyone I was speaking to also had tears in their eyes. Afterward many approached me and thanked me for educating them and sharing my story. It was a wonderful experience for me. I know contacted my local CF chapter in hopes of volunteering in anything they need. I also called the childrens hospital wanting info on volunteering..I am 27 yrs old and feel as though 'this' is my calling. I work for a large utility company doing customer service and am in school for cosmetology, yet something keeps drawing me to CF. I dont know what my future holds for my career, but I am bound and determined to make some changes for CF, if its only to educate thats ok, but I need to make Jeans mark in history, as she made in mine.
Thanks all for reading. Sorry to babble on but this touches my heart and I wish you all the most strength, courage and love one can possibly have...
from the bottom of my heart,
thanks for changing my life!!
