Although I am grateful to the Sub for getting me through the worst of the wd's, I wake up every morning and for about an hour I feel like I did a night on the town drinking a lot of booze. I feel sluggish and hungover. I don't like the way the Sub makes me feel. I have been on Sub for 6 days and I think today is the day that I say goodbye to the Sub. I have gone 24 hours at a time with no Sub and it does not seem to really bug me much at all. I think it is still soon enough to get off the Sub without having to taper.

I have a little clonidine so if I begin to get wd's from the Sub I will try one of those. But I want to be done with this once and for all. So here goes, today will be the first day without Sub or vikes. I think I will be fine. My doctor also prescribed Neuronton. Has anyone ever heard of this drug and is it addictive?

Good Luck with your jump off of the subs, we are with you all the way.

I take 800mg of nurontin for nerve damage in my legs, I know it is usually the drug prescribed for neuropathy(sp) due to diabetis, whatever it is, it has done wonders for me, but it the begining, it did make me rather sleepy, I would think, they would be telling you at this point, to take it for the restless legs and maybe to help you sleep, but then again, that's just my guess....Hang in there, were with you all the way.

As a long term sub maitainence person-
get off now if you feel-like you are ready to let go.
Sub can cause a myriad of symptoms-thinking back-joint pain-hungover..headaches..etc.
Just make sure you got some aftercare in place-cos you will feel w/d-from the sub. post acute w/d..
This can take a while..to pass..
how much are you on?
