Has anyone heard anything about Dr. Constantinides in NYC, he's affiliated with NYU. ? Also Dr. tabbal and Romo? Who had work done, and has been happy with their results?

I had primary rhinoplasty on march 4th with Dr. Tabbal and although the swelling is still significant, I am completely satisfied with the result. His work is very natural; he retains the shape of your nose while eliminating the "flaws". I am not sure on his reimbursement policies (you are required to pay in advance, as with most plastic surgeons) but his office staff is quite helpful. Hope this helps!

If you can travel, see Jack Gunter, MD in Dallas, TX. I have heard of Constantine, but I don't remember the specifics. Dr. Gunter is one of the BEST.

How did you nose look before? What kind of nose does Tabbal look like? Has he done any movie stars? How much does he charge?

I had my surgery done on march 4 and had considerably more bruising and swelling than the average; no real explanation on why. My only other surgeries had been csections 20 years ago and they were uneventful. Despite the slow recovery, I am very, very happy with the results. I used Dr. Tabbal because I had heard he didn't do anything dramatic and that was what I was interested in. I had a hump that was not huge but certainly there. I also had a tip that was slightly bulbous and had a "seam" running through the middle. Dr. Tabbal removed the hump and created a tip that would be, in his words, more elegant. Since I am slow to heal, he has told me I will not see the final nose until at least a year. I already know that I am very pleased with the result. I have no idea who has used Dr. Tabbal for rhinoplasties; his office and office staff are professional, friendly and discrete. His surgical fee is $7500. I hope this is helpful information and good luck to anyone considering it; I'm sorry I waited as long as I did!

Since you had c-sections 20 yrs ago, I'm guessing you might be my age (forties?). I just had rhino in March and had way more brusing and swelling than most seem to report. I wonder if it's age related?

I don't know if it's age-related; I'm 50. At the time of my consult, I was told I had "good skin" and that healing should be fairly routine. I used Arnica and tons of ice (I'm an RN and a very cooperative patient). There are some mornings I wake up and have discoloration under my eyes still. Dr. Tabbal can't account for it; says sometimes brunettes take longer to heal. But it is not bothersome in the least. For anyone considering rhinoplasty and you look at post-op pictures, I can assure, it's the classic "you look worse than you feel". Some discomfort but very minimal pain.
Good luck to all---
