I started smoking at the age of 15, now i'm 23 and 9 days ago i put smoking behind me. It might not seem like 9 days is a long time, but for me the first few days seemed liked an eternity. It was a nightmare at times but i survived and i feel good. I quit cold turkey because i was sick of being addicted to something, i was sick of having something control my life. We see it everyday alcoholics homeless on the street, crackheads selling their bodies for their next high. i might has well been as bad as them, although i didn't do anything awful for a ciggerette i always had them right in front of me. I knew i was stronger than that, if people addicted to herion can find the strength to finally come clean i could quit smoking, and i did, i wish everyone else luck too....

Mcds03,

:bouncing: :bouncing: :bouncing: :bouncing: :bouncing: :bouncing:

You see that little green guys jumping up and down? That’s me every time I see someone get up and conquer this thing. I have seen new studies that say smoking is probably even harder to quit then heroin. They list many reasons why but accessibility is probably one of the biggest. You can’t go pay for gas even without looking at them things. Those added chems I mentioned again today in another post doesn’t help either. You should be proud!!! Keep it up!!!

Sincerely

JohnD

You stick with it now. You feel better, your health improves, stamina, everything. I have been somber for 4 years and feel better everyday that I have been blessed with each day. Hang in there. You are doing great and have a good mindset. You will succeed. Hugs for today.
