Has anyone had an otoplasty(ear reshaping)? How long was the recovery time and where you required to wear a huge head bandage that covered your entire head?

I am too curious about this surgery. I have hated my ears ever since I first saw them in the mirror I think. Someone told me once that the older you get the more chance of damage to the ear canal???? Anyone know if this is true???
