Hello, Is your daughter around other children that she can interact with? If not, try taking her to a play group, swimming, parks etc... where there are little people her own age. Most often these places have toys and if she sees other kids playing with the toys than maybe she will get the urge to play too. Just a suggestion! If this does not work than I would consider get some counselling to see where the problem is..... Hope this helps JameF 07-10-2005, 10:37 AM Hi Kyra, I had this same problem as a baby to a point. My mom got me on those Touch-to-Learn books, you know, like the Leap Frog ones. She did them with me, and eventually set me down and i started to play with them on my own. setting her down with something as simple as a pot and pan didn't seem to hurt either, my mom was in the same room, so in essence, she was weening me off her slowly. Let me know if I was of any help, James kyra220 07-11-2005, 12:57 AM thank you ALBERTAROSE and JAMEF for replying. i will try your suggestions. |
