I wonder if I'm alone here, but I've noticed that my TMJ seems to get worse during the summer months. If anything I thought it would bother me more during the winter. So I cast my memory back to last summer where I missed several days off work because of it. Now, it's happening again. I've left work early twice lately because I feel so out of it. I'm heading into my second week of agony. My tongue hurts, my teeth have been singing, horrible pain is back on the right side of my head, and it's spreading down my neck and into my shoulder. I've felt sick and so dang dizzy this past weekend I feel like I'm going to fall over at times. What a lousy way to spend the summer. Does anyone else find it gets worse for them during the warm season too?

I don't know, but mine sure seems to be bothering me... it seems like... extreme heat, humidity, cold, dry, grief, prolonged smiling, or any laughing, at this point....:'( I'm about ready to cry... or scream.... hope that answers your question. At least that's my experience.

Last winter I would have told you that it was worse in the winter, but now I agree with Searching's post. It seems like extreme tempertures whether hot or cold are very painful. The humidity in the air hurts just as much as the cold air that tenses my muscles. My jaw can now predict rain too.
