My husband's c antibody test came back as reactive the other day, and I have to go and get tested tomorrow (scared for both). His ALT was 107...it was going up from Lipitor, which he has stopped. Mine is 47, although from what I have been reading the levels may not mean that much. Also read that this EIA test only reflects that c is in the blood, not whether it is active...is this correct? Nervous about my test tomorrow, for a lot of reasons, but mostly because I don't want us both to have to go through this at the same time and, obviously, it is better if one can take care of the other if needed. I also read (been doing so a lot since last Tuesday), that it is hard to get the virus via sexual transmission. Did anyone out there get the virus from their spouse?

Girl,I'm in the same shoes you are and scared to death that I also have the HepC now! His doc said that sexual transmission is rare but not impossible. Theres a 4% chance of transmission sexually and he says thats for multiple partners, not as high a chance with monogamous couples.
