I have noticed lately that I am getting "styes" or something very similar in my eyes all of the time. At first I would just get one every now and then, but I've now developed a tendency to get them once or twice a month, and they last several weeks. my eyes is just really sore when I blink, look around, and to the touch, and they get swollen. :(
Should I be concerned about having these symptoms so frequently? Or is it just an annoying occurance?

Yes, you should be concerned. One way you can prevent styes is to never touch eyes with your hands. If you need to rub your eyes for any reason use a clean tissue such as Kleenex. Hands are full of germs and it is usually the staph germ that causes styes. If you must touch eyes with hands, wash with soap real good, sing happy birthday song twice while lathering hands with soap. This will give time for the soap to wash off any germs, rinse and dry.
I assume you have seen an opthamologist for proper treatment.

I haven't seen an opthamologist, and I am kinda embarrassed about this...but I'm allergic to the chemicals in soap, so I have reactions if I wash my hands too much, so i probably don't wash my hands as much as I should.
Should I go to an Opthamologist for this?
