Hey all I am new to healthboards!

I so desperately want plastic surgery. However, I just graduated from college and I have no idea how I will finance this. Can the payments be pretty reasonable? I will begin teaching in August and my appt isn't until SEPTEMBER but I am talking to him about doing multiple procedures at once (I hear it actually costs less to do it this way instead of doing each procedure seperate). Any thoughts on that?

The procedures I want done:

Breast implants
Rhinoplasty
Chin reduction

Are there any ways that I can post pictures? I would like opinions on what I should get done. I don't take offense to criticism or suggestions for surgery. I HATE it when I ask people and they lecture me about being happy just the way I am BLAH BLAH

I'm getting two procedures done. In the beginning of next year, I hope. I will be 18 then, and hopefully I won't chicken out. I'm so scared of going under, and I've never had surgery before. I hate needles, so the IV scares me to death. It is cheaper to get multiple things done at once, because the anesthesiologist... only charges for the day or something like that, which is a couple thousand. This site is really strict and you can't post anything, but there are financial plans. Better off doing a google search on Plastic Surgery and Financing. Good Luck.

Hi there,

Congrats on graduating! You are correct in that it can cost less with having multiple procedures...that is because you pay for the facility once (even though its for more time) and the anesthesiologist.

About financing, your cosmetic surgeon should be able to give you a source for financing. The previous poster is correct in that its strict here and we can't offer suggestions on sources. You'll just need to really research and hopefully you can come across some great sites that can offer ways of financing.

I am 38 and had my first cosmetic surgery procedure, breast implants, when I was 22. At 23 I had lipo on my thighs.

You had mentioned about posting pictures. That is great but you need to do what YOU WANT TO DO and not what someone else thinks you should do.If you are not doing this for yourself, then I don't feel you'll be happy in the long run.

If you are wanting opinions, I would look to yourself for that answer along with at least three cosmetic surgery physicians. PLEASE have more than one consult with doctors. And to me, one of the greatest referrals can come from someone that you know that has gone to that doctor for what you are wanting to have done.

Good luck with your surgeries! :) Do lots of research and do it when you are comfortable and totally informed.

Janet
