I can identify with your problem. I have left facial numbness, occasional pain and some swelling above my left eye. I had an MRI and was found to have an epidermoid cyst on the outside of my brain that is pressing on a nerve, thus the numbness. I just found out about it recently and will have to have surgery to have it removed. There is also such a thing as an arachnoid cyst that can form on or in the brain. It is possible your problem could have something to do with a cyst. I would definitely recommend you see a neurologist and have another MRI. I would also suggest a closed MRI rather than an open one because the closed one takes more detailed pictures. I hope everything works out for you. Please keep us informed.

I am glad you are going to a neurologist. Hopefully, he/she can make a proper diagnosis. I am waiting for my neurologist to make an appointment with a specialist for me. I will have to travel out of state for the operation but I feel a little better knowing a specialist will perform the surgery. I am still nervous though. I hope you get a good report from your neurologist.
