My friend is getting a full tummy tuck done July 10th. She has 3 kids that are almost 4 and twin 9 month olds. I am going to stay on July 10th and 11th to help out because she was told that she won't be able to move around for a while. Her husband will be with her on the weekend, but what about the next week? How long did it take before you could get around and do stuff yourself? Should I also be there on Monday or do you think she would be okay by then to get around? Her husband's office is downstairs, so he can always help out if she needs it, but he still needs to work. Would she still need a lot of help 4 days after surgery? Anything you can tell me about it would be great!!
Thanks!

I haven't had it done yet, but after talking to women that have at...tuckthattummy.com Most seem to need a minimum of 1 week and some still arn't walking properly after 2 weeks. It depends on whether she's getting any muscle repair done as well as that will make for a longer recovery. They reckon you feel "normal" in about 6 weeks.
I would really recomend to help out as much as you can. she won't be able to pick up kids for awhile, nor shower, or drive. This is major surgery.
Good Luck to your friend!
