Hi all
I have had what I think is VN for about 4 weeks now. It started very suddenly and put me in bed for a week. Over the last 3 weeks I have been getting steadily better and can now function ok and drive etc. My concern lies in that I still have a fairly major "gaze shift delay" when looking from left back to centre - this means if I move my head side to side then the computer screen moves instead of my eyes (hope that makes sense) It only occurs from left to centre.
If I move the head slowly then I can hold focus but not at any sort of speed. By the same token, if I look over my shoulder or up or down while trying to hold balance then i suffer a loss of balance as my eyes lose focus.
Is this normal for the latter stages of this illness and what is the best way forward. I have been working on closed eye, one legged balance and this is still not very good (5 secs) and doing a few eye focus exercises.
Any help or feedback on the gaze shift problem would be really appreciated.
Thanks
Peter
