I had a face and neck lift one month ago. The left cheek and jowl are not healing well. There is a hard, swollen ridge that slants down the cheek. It is still slightly bruised and sits like a hard ball in the jowl area. My surgeon says it is swollen tissue that will go away with time and massage with cocoa butter. My jowl looks puffy and, if anything is changing, it looks droopier.

My neck is not as tight as it should be. There is skin directly under the chin, on each side, that hangs down slightly. I have addressed these concerns to my surgeon, and he says it is too early to determine a final result. He acknowledges the problems but says to wait and see.

Has anyone had a similar situation? If so, does it improve or am I facing more surgery to correct the problems?
