I've been anorexic for a little over a year. My period's been gone since the end of September. So that's.. 10 MONTHS that I lost it. I was on vacation and all of the sudden, I saw blood. I didn't even realize what it was at first, since I'd been so used to not seeing it! It's pretty light, but I'M SO HAPPY! Who would've guessed a girl would be happy about getting her period. haha. But I've gained 8 or 9 pounds. That probably has something to do with it. I intend to lose that weight, but in the meanwhile, I'm glad my period's back. I started Ballet on Tuesday. I love it, but it's hard! It looks easy but it's not. I have so much respect for dancers now. It's a summer "dance intensive". It's from 8 A.M. to 12 P.M.. So it's four hours, and I'd say we spend a good 3 & something dancing. A website said it burns 700 something calories for 3 hours? Wow! I always have a headache when I leave though. Hm. Anyone else?
I've had 700 something calories today. I know I should probably eat more, but I so desperately want to lose the weight again. I get this feeling of.. accomplishment when I don't eat something. Sometimes I let myself eat what I want, and then I tell myself I'll "crack down" the next day. But that never happens. Hum.
The only thing about Ballet is that I'm getting muscle. I know muscle weighs more than fat. Even though I'll look better, I hate seeing the number on the scale.

Congrats Saturday Night!! (again i guess lol) No it really is a great feeling. Also ballet is awesome, You right its really tuff but stick with it you wont gain big bulky muscle you will get lean tone muscle definition and you will love it. Try to ignore that pesky scale.
Good Luck with everything you are totally on the right track girl!!

great job on the ballet and the weight gain, but why don't you work on getting stronger and healthier as you keep the weight on? if you lose the weight, you'll probably lose your period, which is a serious sign that your body isn't working right. if you're burning 700 calories and eating only 700, you're net intake is 0 (actually less than that, as i'm sure you know). Then, you know what happens? you're body goes into starvation mode and that "700" that you burn is going to be all muscle, you won't lose any fat. plus, your metabolism will drop so far you won't be burning anywhere near that 700 anymore. you'll feel weak and tired, you won't be able to successfully do things like ballet, and you'll feel miserable and frustrated. i don't mean for this to sound heartless (i've done all this type of stuff before), i just think it would be AMAZING and you would look absolutely fantastic if you could keep on that weight and become stronger and more flexible with ballet. You'll feel great and look unbelieveable! i believe you can do this and become even more beautiful for it! good luck!!
