I havent been feeling well lately, with new symptoms continuing to develop. I've been experiencing shortness of breath(air hunger), this burning sensation in bottom of throat or top of chest, almost as if i'm coming down with a chest cold. With the weather being so humid, I have been more congested than usual. I know this could be a number of things but I have a history of cancer and have a constant fear of recurrence. My question is: I had a PET scan 3 months ago and was told it was all clear. What are the chances of something developing in 2 months(symptoms started over a month ago) to the point that I start feeling symptoms? Any responses would be appreciated.

My elderly aunt was told 2 years ago that she had a mass on her colon and they did a biopsy and it was malignant. She didn't believe them...got a pet scan...it showed a small mass...(she told us it didn't show anything) so she has just let it go. Over the past month she has had to get 4 pints of blood....now just guess what is taking all her blood? THE MASS....but she won't listen............I think the PET scans show EVERYTHING...so if it was clear...i wouldn't worry. I have bronchitis right now and can't hardly breathe...started with a cough, stuffy head, and I thought I would get over it...Now i'm on anitbiotics and feeling a little better....
