Hi all
I was hoping someone could
advise me on some information
that I got from a lactation
consultant.
She had told me I had thrush on my nipples and that my baby
has thrush in his mouth. So she recommended I put Canesten Cream on my nipples after breastfeeding ,and that I did NOT have to rinse it off my nipples before breastfeeding again.
Does this sound right ??? I thought for sure I would have to wash it off before breastfeeding.

Nope, you don't have to wash it off.....It really isnt that much on your nipple and in a few days you will be all better...Ralinda

I HATE thrush!! Both of my babies got it. Fortunately the second time around I knew what it was right away. Ralinda is right, you don't have to wash it off. Just to give you a heads up, it can take a few weeks for it to clear up in your little one's mouth!! Both times I had to refill my kids prescriptions before it was all totally gone.
