If a person got chronic mercury poisoning from many amalgam fillings, or eating alot of tuna, etc, would that person be ill all the time, or would there be points where SOME of the illness symptoms would go away (ie. violent/negative thoughts, panic attacks, paranoia, confusion, memory loss, etc) , and then the symptoms come back again?

I'm still learning about mercury poisoning myself, but from what I've read and heard, the symptoms can come and go or change depending on things like diet, exercise, and dental work.

For example, I've noticed my anxiety level and compulsion to blink has been very high the last few months. I had some dental work done in the new year that exposed me to mercury, so it could well be why I'm having the problem now. I've had it in the past and it's gone after a while.

Foods can trigger mercury, like foods rich in sulphur. Also, mercury can cause candida, so eating fruit or drinking beer can aggravate it, causing some symptoms. I had rhinitis for a long time until I realised a pattern with fruit, so now I limit my fruit intake and have vit c supplement.

I believe that vit c helps the body to fight mercury damage, so if there are time you are low in vit c, the symptoms may be worse.

Algin is thought to be good in helping the symptoms by binding to the mercury and helping the body to get rid of it in waste. I'm going to try a product called ProAlgen and see if it helps. It can be taken while the fillings are still in.

Sulphur binds to mercury and helps remove it from the body. This is probably why some people feel bad after eating large amount of foods rich in sulphur, because of the detox effects. I've heard that MSM sulphur is a good supplement to take to help eliminate mercury from a persons body. However, AFAIK there is no way you can remove mercury from a persons brain, only the body.

Yeah, I'm currently taking 3 grams of Vitamin C a day, I would take more but I can't afford it. :(

I've heard that people with amalgam fillings should eat a low sulphur diet. I don't know why this is, though. I will have to ask.

I found out that the reason people with amalgams should be watchful of sulphur is because it draws the mercury out of the fillings faster than would normally happen. But for those who no longer have the fillings, it helps in detox by drawing the mercury out of the organs. Used with Algin (Algin binds fast to mercury in the intestine), it helps to leave the body through waste.

As to getting mercury out of the brain, I'm told Alpha Lipoic Acid can do this by crossing the blood-brain barrier, but that this needs to be done very carefully, very slowly, always with Algin, and only when all the fillings have gone.
