I have been thinking of getting rhinoplasty for quite some time and recently sought out two plastic surgeons who had good reputations. The first was Dr. Sevinor and the second was Dr. Yaremchuk at Mass General Hospital in Boston. I am leaning towards Yaremchuk and scheduled surgery for later this month

A number of people who have posted on this message board have mentioned Dr Yaremchuk but I've never seen a post about his actual work. I was wondering if anyone has had rhinoplasty with him and was satisfied/disatisfied with his work. I am starting to have second thoughts b/c I don't know how good he really is...

Any comments/information would be VERY helpful

Dear Andrea,

I'm thinking about rhino-surgery for quite a long time but I'm afraid that I will have a not so good doctor so I keep postponing the operation. I want to have an east coast surgeon. Could you share some of the information you gathered, I would really appreciate it.. Let me know ok.

Cheers.

Hi there,

I have been researching for quite some time and like you I have been putting it off. I am really scared that either something will go wrong or I'll look really different.

I had a consultation with Dr Sevinor as I mentioned in my first post and he seemed competent but I just got a very hollywood type of feeling and I wasn't compeltely comfortable with that. I also felt like he was rushing me...he had me fill out all the paperwork for the surgery the day of my consultation and wanted to schedule for two weeks from that day..It was all just too fast. Another thing I didn't like was that I would have had to drive to Lynn to get pictures taken of my nose.

Then I met with Dr Yaremchuk...you get a very different feel with him b/c he works at Mass general and does a lot of reconstructive work. He also fixes mistakes when someone is unhappy with previous plastic surgery. One of the things he is known for is fixing botched nose jobs. I liked him a lot...

What else can I tell you?? let me know...

Dear Andrea,

I was on holiday last week so I couldn't reply.. I hope you still read this. Because I would like to share some info and experiences with you. [removed]I think I'm going to be operated this August if I dare of course :) .. My face actually looks ok I used to model, but I think my nose is a bit too big in proportion to the rest of my face.. Some docs also were rushing me which scared me. And some gave all those weird promisses that they could make it really beautiful while one doc said that he could not even help me because the skin between my eyebrows was too think to see a change.. So I'm kinda confused. And I also dont want to look "done" or Hollywood, just natural something that's ok with my face..

Well anyway if you ever read this I hope to hear from you,

Take care & good luck.
