My body has been pretty weird lately. I mean, for the past month I've been eating a lot. Well a lot for me. And I'm doing my normal binge eating on the weekend without as much control during the week, so I've managed to gain about 4-5 lbs. But some of the symptoms that I'd associate with an ED are still with me and I don't understand why, since I've been eating more. Like, I still get light-headed when going from sitting to standing.. I guess because my blood pressure falls a little. Still get dizzy now and then anyways. I shed a lot of hair.. like I don't know if it's something that I really just didn't notice before, but whenever I brush my hair or run my fingers through it, I always seem to pull out a bunch of loose hairs. And I recently moved into my own place and now that I know all the hairs on the floor of the bathroom are all mine, it just seems like a lot. And lastly.. well I'm on birth control, so I never lost my period back when I was restricting, but lately I've noticed that it is really light. Like before it would last a few days, but the past two or so it's been only maybe two days at most. And I haven't switched pills in over two years. I guess I'm just nervous about what is going on with my body. I'm eating tons, I'm at a normal weight, and it shouldn't be defecting like this.

Has anyone had symptoms last long after their ED ends like this?

from what you posted it doesn't sound like your ED has ended, you comment about your normal binge eating.... I thought the same thing when I started eating - great my brain is going to work better, I won't feel sick etc but it hasn't happened yet. I'm told it takes a long time for a body to heal from what we do to it with ED whether restricting, purging or bingeing, it isn't simply a matter of refeeding for a bit and then we are cured. Keep trying don't give up - this takes time...

i would get blood work done just in case because it sounds like you are anemic. Even though you are recovered, you could still be iron deficient and that is why your period is so light and you get dizzy alot. But congratulations otherwise on getting better! Keep us posted.

Oh i am so glad you are making progress. I remember reaading a post of yours awhile back and you were really having a hard time...I am so glad to see things are looking up!!!!

i just recently had bloodwork done and my doctor told me the reasons for my diziness were because I had VERY low blood sugar levels. They concluded I was hypo-glycemic (spelling?), which is something my mom had and it is a genetic thing. Just a thought, but does anyone in your family have a history of that?
