Sponsor southeastdriver 07-19-2005, 11:22 AM I was on Lithium and could not drink on it. Lithium is also used for treatment of alcholism. Picali 07-19-2005, 01:12 PM Hi Kitty I'm not on either of the meds you've mentioned, but I think the general advice is to avoid alcohol. It's a nightmare for mood swings anyway, and I haven't heard of a med yet that it's okay to drink with. Sorry! (If it's any consolation I got used to not drinking quite quickly and no longer have a 'taste' for it) Derangea 07-19-2005, 01:32 PM I'm on 900mg Neurontin, 25mg Lamicatal, 2mg. Klonopin, and Amoxicilian. I drank of the weekend. Not much. Just one Coors Light. And I got banned from this one bar downtown because I started a fight with a guy that called me stuck up. Yeah... it can be dangerous. goofyafter2 07-19-2005, 08:56 PM I take lithium and lamictal and usually have a few drinks every Sat and I do ok. but i think you arent supposed to. angelblue65 07-20-2005, 08:17 AM 2 or 3 on rare occasions (neither one of us drink that much) and my BF is fine (he's on a lot of meds) but too much too fast and he's sick as a dog (this has only happened twice that I've seen). From everything that I've seen from everyone, abstinence is best but if you do have something, s l o w and moderate. I take klonopin for sleep and I'm fine. So the other factor, as always, I'm sure is body chemistry. |
