I had a rhinoplasty and chin augmentation with Weikel in August 1999. I was 18 years old. My nose was too long and had a slight bump. While my nose is certainly improved, I am not really satisfied with the results. I still have a bump on it and he should have made my nose narrower. If I looked like the pictures he made in pre-op computer imaging, I would be satisfied completely. I am considering having Tobias redo it next summer. Also, I have consider scars on the outside of my nose, in the crease where my nose meets my face that are kind of noticeable, even with makeup. The operation went smoothly, and there was little pain post-op. The staff was really nice, but I think Weikel is arrogant. I just got over it because I figured that he was the best, so he was allowed.

He is a butcher. I’ve been through 2 lipos with him. One went VERY bad, he tried to correct it, but it was beyond his capabilities. After that I’ve seen three different PSs in New York and only one of them agreed to try to correct it. It came out a little better (at least you do not see lumps on my stomach through the clothes). But even after seven years my stomach still looks pretty much like SharPei, I can not even dream to wear two pieces bathing suit, I have to provide an explanation to every physician I see, I……..OK, you’ve got the idea.

I am so glad that I am not the only one. Dr. Weikel did my nose, and he did a half a** job. Ok, I went in his office with a low, round bulbous tip, and a narrow bridge, with a bump. I left his office with a gigantic WIDE bridge, a way too tiny tip that sinks inward, and a bump is still there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are also all these sharp pieces of bone and my septum sticking up through my skin.
So I just recently went back to him to see what he can do about it. He said he would go back in and fix it for free (aside from an operating room fee), but he said the bump would just come back, but he told me that he wanted to "prove" himself that it wasn't really his fault, it was "biology" that made the bump come back, which is complete bs because I have been to other doctors and they say that it's all in the surgeons technique. He said rhinoplasty's are never guaranteed, and he was acting so negative towards the whole thing, he kept saying that a revision for me wouldn't make any difference. He said that he would go back and rasp the bridge again, but it would really do much, and he didn't understand why he didn't break the bones in the first place because I would've gotten a better result (I can't believe he sad this to me.. NOW!) See, another doctor explained to me that if you just rasp the bridge down, it doesn't get any thinner, it gets WIDER and it doesn't really do that good of a job. Then he asks me "so when are you planning on having this surgery" I said the beginning of January. He sighed and said "great, more paper work for me to do for the new year." (!!!!!!!!!!!) The whole time I was trying to ask him questions, and tell him some concerns of mine, but he didn't care to listen, he kept cutting me off. He told me he could add cadaver cartilage back to my tip, but he couldn't project it THAT much becuase I "wouldn't be paying him for this"...!! I can't believe the things he was saying. There is so much more, but I don't want to make this too long... Anyways, I left his office CRYING because he made me feel so hopeless... he made me feel like a mistake that he unfortunately had to deal with. So I went to some other doctors and I was shocked at how kind and understanding they were... they actually LISTENED to me and were so positive and saying that I would get very nice results, all my problems could be fixed, and I regret the day I ever chose Weikel. Now I am spending another $5,000 to fix his mistakes. I have to go through this whole recovery all over again.
