Hi Ed. Congratulations on your dry one-monthiversary. And, it sounds like you are gradually getting back to your life. Have you been vaguely interested in sex? If yes, I'd say try playing around a little bit to see what happens. It is definitely possible to have an orgasm, even if you can't get an erection for a while. Based on the reports of most of the guys here, including me, you probably can't expect a whole lot for the first 6-12 months, and then the improvement will be gradual. My uro suggested taking a dose of Viagra every night to stimulate blood flow and encourage spontaneous erections. Slowly but surely, this has helped me. 9 months after surgery, I often wake up with 60-80% of an erection. And my wife and I have succeeded with intercourse several times by using tri-mix injections. These are not necessarily the course you will follow, or the outcome, but just an idea of how it could go. The main thing is not to be discouraged and to celebrate any incremental improvement. Since you had the perineal surgery, was your surgeon able to spare your erectile nerves? If not, you may want to look into the ways you can still achieve erections, possibly including the pump, injections, or even implants. In any case, I truly believe we should all make every possible effort to regain as much of our sex life as we can. It sounds like you are doing great so far.

Thank you for you kind reply.. My Doctor was able to spare all of my nerves, they are all intact..I am positive that I will be able to resume a normal sex life.. I was using viagra anyway before the operation, so I will continue to use it as I have in the past... Best of luck
