I am starting to worry.
I bit of history: I have had dysplasia cells before. I was only 19. I believe I have HPV.
My last pap was about 8 months ago. Everything AOK.

These last couple weeks I have had light palvic pain? Not bad, but definately not period cramps. I also spotted after sex, and continued to spot the follwing day. ( that was about two weeks ago) My periods are usually more than 28 days apart. but I started having dark brown spotting a couple days ago, and have started bleeding today. But my period should not be here for atleast another week.

Should I be concerned?
I do not have insurance, and the last time I had odd pains I went to the doctor and was fine (and am still paying on that Visit!) So I do not want to go if it is not necessary
Thank you for any advice you can give.

I'd contact your local health service dept, most cities have them and they are free....always better to be safe, pains can be one of 100 things but some are serious, and you dont want to think down the line " I should have done something earlier"

I agree with lobo...go for an exam. If there's some sort of inflammation they'll be able to see it right away and a pap will confirm if maybe you have dysplasia again. I would try not to worry too much at this point. Like lobo said pains can be so many different things...something as simple as an ovarian cyst or cervical polyp which is benign. And if 8 months ago everything was ok then there's very little chance that something terribly abnormal would have developed. Cervical cancer needs quite a bit longer to develop, if it ever develops.

When i was initially diagnosed with HPV i had inflammation and low grade lesions and i was also spotting after intercourse. But in the end it wasn't an alarming situation and now everything is ok. Good luck and keep us posted!
