Ok I've always had issues with my family and have had some really trying times in the past with them. I moved about 1800 miles away for over a year and just moved back this week. Already things are getting started. My mom says she thinks I have boundary issues and talks to psychiatrists that she has access to through her job about me and everything else. I'm sure that I have some issues about things as we all do but not too sure I agree with her on this. And I also think she has some herself.

So in February I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks that has taken me so long to get over. I am still not completely passed the grief but at least am able to continue with life right now. Last month was really bad and I felt like I couldn't continue but since moving back across country and not being in the apartment that I miscarried in has helped I think. But I'm sure once things calm down and everything settles back down then things will be different.

So my mom told me that I should see someone about my boundary issues and that they will pay for it. My health insurance doesn't kick in for another 3 months since I am just starting this new job. So I figure that I will go to see someone to help me with the issues that I know I have under the guise that I'm dealing with the issues she thinks I have and get it paid for and help the relationship. Either way it can't hurt anything. And I'm sure the doctor would help me to better deal with my family as well.

As I read this it sounds like I'm really young. I'm not as young as this sounds. I am 26 years old and already have a bachelors degree but decided that I don't want to do that and have been going back to school for nursing. I have been out on my own since after college at 21 and I've gotten a little bit of help now with my parents by moving back in with them until I get things in order. So any input would be great! Anyone found someone they really liked in NJ. I'm in monmouth county. TIA!

well, i'm from TN. Sorry. I'd check with a local mental health clinic for a dr.
However, it may be advisable to check the ins plan you will have in 3 months. It would be a bummer to start with a doc and have to change due to insurance.
