Hello,
Just wondering what is the average, or what is considered normal, for the number of daily bowel movements?
I have noticed I have more frequent bowel movements (at least one per day). Each is normal, though I am almost always bloated... and feel uncomfortable. When I am bloated, I am huge. It is weird.. Some mornings I wake up and my stomach is flat, like it probably shoudl be... but most mornings when I wake up it is already bloated, and continues to get worse over the day...
I am female and 21. Fit, not too unhealthy eating habits... though i do eat more junk than I should. :)

Most bloating is caused by your friendly intestinal bacteria being out of balance.
It can be caused by many things from a round of antibiotics & other meds, too much salt or sugar, alcohol, spicy food or just some food intolerance.
Eating yogurt or drinking Kefir daily along with taking a good probiotic supplement 2X daily may help re-balance the friendly intestinal flora.

Thanks Harry. :)
I do have problems with yeast, so I usually take acidophilus capsules... but I'm on holidays at the moment and cannot keep them in a fridge.
Do you think that could be the problem? I think that is what you suggested in your reply...
I was also wondering whether this could be related to weight gain... I haven't gained that much, but I can't eat as much as I used to without gaining weight... may be just from growing up? :)
Thanks again... Beck.

Many probiotic are affected by heat and stomach acid -- they get destroyed.
It is best to keep them in the fridge and take them on an empty stomach -- like when going to bed is always good!!!
