i am so tired of all the run arounds that dr's do. the other day my husband was in so much pain that he couldn't stand for his pants legs to touch his skin. this is tearing me apart inside. he cant sllep set up lie down or barely walk anymore because of the pain. if he is setting down and goes to get up he goes stumbling because it hurts him so bad to walk yet he is still working. when he gets home he is so pittiful, it would break your heart. Now his legs and feet are even starting to swell up. the Dr's here won't do a thing and he has insurance too, you would think that they would want to try but not were we live. they wont even do any test to try to find out what is wrong.

no no color change never injured or surgery. we dont know what is going on. dr didnt even do any test and said he has poor circulation and put him on trental. but pain has not subsided and it has been a month. he said that in his big toe it is numb and feels like a toothache and that his legs and feet feel like they are on fire all the time. the thing is now it is like he is losing muscle tone in his legs and arms and he said that his hands and fingers are starting to do it too. i just dont know i cant stand seeing him in so much pain. if you saw him and knew him you would understand what I am talking about

Try (DMG) dimethylglycine, improves circulation, helps the body adapt to stress, decreases homocysteine levels, increases glutathione and
enhances the immune system by acting as an anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal agent, increases oxygen utilization, decreases lactic acid.
DMG acts as an antioxidant, provides building blocks, increases oxygen utilization, decreases lactic acid, and helps modulate the immune system, improves circulation, makes energy production more efficient.
DMG has anti-inflammatory properties and supports the immune system.
DMG is not classified as a vitamin or a medicine, it is actually considered a "foodstuff". Little known yet widely available. I recommend you start with this as it's somewhat fast acting, should see difference within 3 days. Also read that burning extremities is a sign of a B6 deficiency, although be sure that he gets all the B vitamins ie. B-complex.
Although I get most of my sups from labs now, I started with Aangamik from FoodScience - DMG, and it was amazing, especially at how quickly it worked, these ones are very small and come in foil packets that once opened are put under the tongue and allowed to dissolve. Should be able to find at a good vitamin outlet. :)

Sounds like you need to find another Dr.! Take him to the ER, whatever it is might get worse without treatment.

When one doctor will do nothing, always get a second opinion. If there is a medical school within travel distance, go there for diagnosis. Do not wait until your husband is down in a wheelchair.

I really feel for what you and your husband are going through. I suffer from chronic pain in my left foot due to a podiatrist's negligence, and I cannot stand to be on my feet for certain periods of time. I am young, like your husband, and so I understand how lousy it is to have your life disrupted by a painful problem at such a young age.
There are doctors out there that can diagnose your husband's problem. If the doctor(s) you have seen aren't doing anything to help your husband and are just giving him the brush-off (I have been to some ignorant doctors), then it's important that you keep searching for the right doctor(s). I've heard that university hospitals are great places to go for help because there are usually many different specialists (neurologists, podiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, etc) that can work together to help patients. I have an appointment at a university hospital in September with an orthopedic surgeon for an evaluation.
In my opinion, your husband should visit a neurologist for a complete exam and evaluation. He may also need to visit a different type of specialist.
I can't say enough about how important it is for your husband to receive a diagnosis and treatment ASAP. It is crucial that his pain and symptoms are relieved and controlled so that he does not suffer.
Please write an update regarding his situation. My best wishes go out to you! :)

I would like to know what the doctor said. I also suffer from pain in my feet. I recently had blood clots in my right calf muscle, and while in the hospital, my feet began to feel like they were on fire. Fortunately, I was in ICU at the time and they administered morphine for the pain. I was told that I had poor blood circulation. Due to the blood clots, I am now on Cumaden for thinners, percoset for pain, Zocor for cholestoral (125), and B12 shots once a month. In the last week, my left foot became sore and has red blotchy spots. I have had this before when I lived in the midwest many years ago and it is very painful. I can't wear shoes at all when I am suffering. I can usually take Aleve for the pain and it will subside and the episode goes away for a while. Since I am on the blood thinners, I can't take Aleve at all and percoset will relieve the pain but unfortunately, I can't drive or function when I am taking it. My doctor now has me on Trental. I feel like a walking drug store. I used to be a smoker and was told that this is what has caused my poor circulation. I quit smoking 6 months ago and still no relief from the pain(nicotine shinks blood vessels). I am small framed and currently weigh in at 88 lbs. I can't gain my weight back and the thinner I get, the worse the pain in my feet get. I was told that the Trental may take several weeks before there will be any relief. By the way, no one has diagnosed why I am losing weight. I was in the hospital for 8 days and they put me through every test they could imagine. I look and feel like a skeleton. I am only 52 years old and have been very active in my life. Now, I can hardly get up and walk to this computer, where I work from home. Whatever this is, it is debilitating and my life has changed drastically.
What your husband is feeling now is similar to what I felt over 8 years ago and have suffered with off and on since then. Get help now before the discoloration starts.

Wow! Your doc won't do ANYthing to help figure this out?? I would be looking for the nearest big city with a teaching hospital, get him in to see a neurologist, see a different doc, insist on an MRI, and about a dozen other things until I found SOMEONE who was willing to help diagnose and treat! That is NUTS and UNACCEPTABLE to allow someone to have those kinds of symptoms and not DO SOMETHING!! With the symptoms you describe, it sounds much more serious than "foot problems" - it sounds neurological, and like it NEEDS to be treated seriously so that he can get proper treatment before he's completely disabled! Poor guy! It makes me so angry when I read of someone suffering like that and his dr. being lazy and not getting him the help he needs.
Please, please be very, very demanding on behalf of your husband - he's probably so stressed and distressed by the pain and other symptoms that he's not able to properly advocate for himself, and needs SOMEone to really go to bat for him and INSIST on tests, tests, and more tests, and seeing a new dr (or 10 new doctors!) until you find out the cause of his symptoms.
Because I have spine problems (which can and often do cause nerve-related problems and damage), I tend to think he may have something going on with his nerves - a bulging or herniated disc in his back or neck could be causing symptoms like you describe - and your husband especially needs to be diagnosed and treated SOON, if the weakness and other symptoms you describe are getting worse. IF his problems are related to pressure on nerve (from disc or other problems), he needs them treated before he experiences permanent nerve damage.
I also agree with the poster who mentioned possible RSV - that's something that should be checked too.
There's a whole host of neurological things that can cause your husband's symptoms, and I really, really think you need to get him in to see a GOOD neurologist, and he/she should be able to help you go from there.
