I am looking for some help and advice, my daughter received back her smear results last week and was told she had an abnormality show up, they didnt tell her anything else apart from that she will need to go for a biopsy and she is really scared and so am I as we dont know what to expect and nobody has told us, what annoys me is that she has been telling her GP that something is wrong since the birth of her son 18 months ago, as she bleeds all the time but they have kept treating her for thrush of all things.
Is there anyone there that can help me with this problem?
Thank you maltesa

First step is to ask for a copy of all reports...this is treatable so dont worry, its great she went now and is taking care of it. It could be a minor change or something a bit greater, but either case there are many options for treatment and all are relatively quick, painless, and easy - I;ve had three and all were no big deal and Im a huge baby!
The bleeding might be something different, related to the birth, and I would see an ob/gyn who deals specificlly w/ pregnancy related issues. I havent heard bleeding be related to dysplasia in the past. Maybe something tore and didn't heal right? The key thing here is getting a great doctor who is VERY informative and tells you every detail and explains everything. Sounds like this one isnt like that, I'd find a new one , female , that she likes.
don't stress - most times it's very minor and even if its abit more progressed, its almost always completely treatable
