I had a lower bleph surgery 5 weeks ago and the surgeon also did fat injection (my own fat) into areas like my upper lip, laugh line area, forehead and in the "hollow" dark circle area of my eyes. I am scared to death because I now have bags under my eyes that were never there before. I am thinking it is the fat injection. Maybe he injected too much. I have been taking digital pics every day and have seen NO improvement at all over the past 14 days. I don't think it's swelling because it isn't changing. Has anyone had experience with the fat injection to the eye area? I am so scared I can't even sleep at night. I am still in hiding and I don't know what to do. Please help if you can.

Cynthia,
I had a check lift, upper lids and fat injections under my eyes in April 2006. The scars on upper lids were not good. He did a revision under local, the first week in October. The scar is WORSE and I still have a "bag" under one eye. I have gone back twice for this and he injected Kenalog in the under eye area, saying that would disolve the extra fat. It has make no difference at all. I am to see him again in January. My question is do I even want him to touch me again. He is supposed to have one of the best reputations in the area, but it just appears he may have now lost his "edge". I don't know. I researched doctors in Atlanta before having this done, so I am very dissappointed.
Is it legal to mention the doctors name and see if we used the same one?

I have heard that sometimes in women taking fat from your belly or such, and putting it into your face-
Can cause problems because at different times of the month, we tend to retain fluids, as all women do. So the fat grafted in your face swells....
Maybe it will go down in a few weeks! I hope so:)

Sorry to hear that your not happy with your surgery.
I was wondering whether to have this done myself. I've been thinking about it for quite some time. I have really bad eyebags, however, I'm worried about having a bleraphlasty because I've seen some people who've had it done and it's changed the shape of their eyes?
My surgeon recommended I have fat injected around the area, however, after reading this thread I'm having second thoughts.
Thanks for sharing x

be very careful who you go to. My surgeon was supposed to be one of the top ones in the area. I wish I had not done it.
