View Full Version : Frequent Gas, what could this be?

My husband has always had bowel problems and recently had a sigmoidoscopy and a surgery for severe hemorrhoids. His colonoscopy is scheduled for September, he couldn't have it sooner because the hemorrhoids were obstructive. He recovered well from the surgery and no longer suffers from rectal bleeding. He has a much easier time having BM's now, they are regular, and they look normal.

However, I am still concerened because he still gets upset stomach frequently (once a week average) and he is extremely gassy all the time. He was not this gassy before the surgery. He has had stomach issues for over 10 years and it is usually associated with something he ate, but sometimes not and it is not consistent.

Does anyone know what this might be or has anyone had this, is this a sign of colon cancer?
