I had a colonscopy two weeks ago and I am having an endoscopy this monday coming. Anyways I had two small polyps removed from my colon and I still don't have the results back yet from the biopsy. I had alot of bleeding, before the proceedure. I lost 10 pounds in a week unable to eat, and I am hoping that I don't have cancer. I am not having normal bm. I am not able to go except for maybe once or twice a week if I am lucky at that. I am trying real hard to remain positive that I don't have cancer, but I have a strong family history of having cancer in my family, not colon cancer, but cancer in every part of the body in my family. What I am asking is how do I keep myself from not being worried, and keeping my self sane during this time.
The polyps sizes they removed were 0.8 cm if that helps. Thanks for your help.

I know this is a scary time for you but try and not stress to much.. Easier said than done I know.
Can u ring your doctors up and ask for the results of the bioopsy? U have a right to know whats happening...
Though saying that, if anything bad was found Im sure they would have contacted you by now..
You have come to the right place for advice and support.
You didnt mention your age....
Not that means much anyway..
Please take care of you, try not to worry and keep us posted.

So sorry you are wondering and worrying, but you are worrying before you have something to worry about. Bad sentance that! Geesh lost all my common sense,
worrying before I had something to worry about.

You will worry, but put it aside. It will pop in and out of what your are doing. So do something that is more fun than worrying. Remember and get ready for all the
"definite maybe" you will hear. Wsting your energy thinking about what if..... can drive you a little nutzy. But you can take the nutzy by the hand and go do something you enjoy doing. The more focused you a re on 'other activities' the less room to dwell on what "might be" and imagination can dream up all sorts of might be that could be worse than the facts. Waiting is hard to do.
Regardless of what you are eventually told, there are so many ways to treat it, you cannot possibly imagine them all.
Keep posting. We've all been there, or are there, and we know the waiting is hard and tends to poke around in the background of what we are doing. Remember too, the statistics are good!
I'm not far removed from the worry, grasping for information, trying settle down my concerns, so I feel for you - and while it is hard to do, find a way to relax. A funny movie, reading a book, listening to favourite music, doing the dishes and feeling the warmth of the water on your hands. Stay in your moment.
The definite maybe is possible to overcome.
The good news is you have been scoped!
When you're ready ask for the biopsy results.
Have someone with you.
Wave at the sun in the morning.
Say to yourself Good Morning ME!

Take it one step at a time. My thoughts are with you.
