hey everyone,
i'm a guy who had a medium tummy tuck last friday. i had it b/c i lost 130lbs and hated the skin under my belly button and all thatcrap. anyway, the drains are still in...i get those out tomorrow and i'm pretty swollen. it was/am in more painful than i thought but i'm glad i had it done.
anyway, the way i lost the weight was through diet and exercise the old fashioned way and now i'm kinda addicted to cardio. i know i won't beable to do weights for a while but i was wondering how long i will have to wait before i can do light cardio again? not running but maybe the cross trainner or bike or stairstepper. i know it will probably be at least 2 weeks after the surgery...this friday will be one week.
so if anyone who has had this could tell me their experience with this i'd appreciate it?
also, 1 more thing.....how long before all of the swelling goes away altogether?
thanks for reading.

You probably should ask your doctor, he is the best peron to tell you what and when you can do. Congratulations on the weight loss.

Hi
Swelling can last in degrees for up to 6 months. You've just been through major surgery and should really allow your body to heal.
Most PS advise to wait at least 6 weeks before hitting the gyms ( 8 weeks for ab work)...start with walking you don't want to undo any of the great work your PS has done.
Take care
