Hi- Has anyone experienced infertility while on zoloft, or even after having taken it for a while? I was just curious because I've been ttc for 2 yrs now and at the same time I've been on Zoloft. My doc says it's not related but another doc I saw told me that even though it's not related it's better to stop taking it while ttc. The problem is that it's helping me a great deal and I really feel that at this point I can't and shouldn't stop taking it. But anyway, I can switch to another med. Anyone have any knowledge on this? Thanks :)

You shouldn't take any med that crosses the placenta when pregnant. Therefore, you can't take Zoloft. I have heard that pregnancy actually quells anxiety symptoms, so you may feel pretty good without meds while pregnant. Talk to your obgyn about your infertility issue. Best wishes to you,

many now do take zoloft and other antidepressant meds while trying to comnceive and while pregnant, research it on the net
sometimes being pregnant stops all panic and anxiety, sometimes not
