What are they exactly? All this talk of rib pain is making me think I have some. An ultra sound didn't show up any abnormalities and the blood tests I had done didn't show up anything like gallstones either. I've had these pains before as well, doc says it's a trapped nerve, not sure though.

Go to the digestive disorders thread and you will find NUMEROUS posts on GB......lots of info there...the ultra sound will only detect the stones...not any inflamation, scaring, etc. You need a hida scan for function....good reading!

No...only examination of the gallbladder after removal will tell if there is scaring.
