I started taking orthotricyclen last month to help regulate my period and for cramps. After I took it, I felt a little nauseous for about a day. It wasn't too bad but this month, for about five hours the next day I felt REALLY nauseous and kept vomiting every thirty minutes or so. --Has anyone else experienced nausea, while taking the pill, that was this bad? -Should I go to my doctor and switch to another kind or wait and see if this happens again? I really don't want this to happen again though, it was terrible!! :( --thanks!

I would wait a little longer. I've heard of a little nausousness, but not that much. Although I was ALWAYS sick when I started Nordette. But that shouldn't happen on Orthotricycline. Maybe you should just call your doctor and ask what they think it is. That does seem abnormal. Maybe its some that will just pass though. You never know.

Nausea is common on every birth control pill. Usually, the nausea subsides with time.

Have you tried taking your pill at bedtime? Many women find that taking the pill at bedtime alleviates nausea.
