A little brief info on past history: im a 20 yr old male, been diagnosed with major depression, anxiety, and OCD for 3 yrs. Within the past two years I exposed to the SSRI's, paxil, remeron, and finally found a stablized dose of Effexor XR at 150mg. Also during those years I shuffled b/w doses of Klonopin from 0.5mg TID, to now which is at 2mg/night, 1mg/BID. During the last year I was put on different mood-stablizers: Serquel, Trileptal, Lacimactal (bad rashes!), and now Depakote XR at 1000mg/at night. Actually about a month ago Valium put me in the mental hospital. The Valium and tapering off Klonopin mix wasnt working I went crazy, got out in three days. Anyways back to my point, dr. just upped the dose of klonopin again and I found it to make me irriated, little patience, and the 2mg at night, isnt helping me sleep (recent med change) Well now Im on Exeffor XR 150 mg, Klonopin 1mg/BID, 2mg/night, and Depakote ER 1000mg. Im kinda thinking that I need a benzo to help me relax and relieve all that damn anxiety, I was thinking maybe a low dose of xanax might agree better than the klonopin (b/c im really not liking that) Also the reason I think I need benzos or something like it is b/c i get extreme muscle tension, giddness, etc... and benzos help control the CNS and work with the GABA receptors right? well any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks
