O.K. Who has had any sucess in diminishing them. I have lifted, used softform, and lasered. They seem to really like me. Is there any hope for really dimminishing them. Has anyone heard of zplasty.

Isn't that a form of collagen? If so, it lasts 3 to 4 months. Fat transfers done by specialized PSs last anywhere from 5 months to a couple of years.

Zplasty is a scar revision method . Artecoll is a permanent filler which is in clinical trials and should be available soon. Do you know anything about it?

Hi. I know only what I read about it. It's done in Canada and a few doctors are doing it in the USA. If you look it up on the web you should find some more info.

Has anyone tried Alloderm for these lines? My doctor suggested this after I've been getting collagen, and then dermalogen injections over and over (they last about 1 month for me). I'm a little nervous about it and am wondering if anyone knows more about this than I do. All I know is that it's a solid form of cymetra, and my doctor says that it could last up to a year. I just haven't seen any messages about this and don't know anyone who's tried it. I'm just so sick of throwing away money.
Also, in regard to artecoll, which everyone seems to have high hopes for...if one is allergic to collagen, will you also be allergic to artecoll? I turned very red the 2nd time I had collagen done and switched to dermalogen instead.
Thanks to anyone who responds!

Interesting - I didn't realize artecoll was
a solid form of cymetra. Artecoll, then is also
made from human skin, same as cymetra. I
was hoping it was a purely synthetic
material. I suppose this is foolish but I
don't like the thought of cadaver cells or
whatever, being put in my body. Of course,
you might say, is a product from a cow any
better? If anyone has information that
makes this more appealing, please post
info. I was looking forward to this new
product.

check out www. artecoll. com. Lots of info. here is a skin test for artecoll to avoid allergy reactions. Sounds like a good choice according to my research. I am looking for a more permanent result.Artecoll is the best so far.

Hi there,
Actually Artecoll is very different from Cymetra. Artecoll contains PMMA particles that are synthetic and won't dissolve. The official site is below..

I hate my alloderm. It was misplaced and had to be removed which is not as simple as you might think. I discourage it so strongly and wish I could take it back and never have used alloderm

I had Zyderm (or Zyplast) injected into my "laugh lines" back in July. I don't know why they call them laugh lines, because they are NOT funny and I ain't laughing! Anyhoo, I had it injected into my laugh lines and the borders of my lips (for fullness only - not the Cher or Melanie Griffith look) and also to get rid of those pesky vertical lines. I was very happy with the results. I could tell a big difference. My lipstick went on so much better and while my lips did not look bigger, they looked fuller. It is now October and it's time to go back to my dermatologist for another round of injections. I wish the dermologen lasted longer. What is this other stuff ya'll are talking about? Artocell? How expensive is it?

i hear that termage is a new technique that could get rid of these lines...not sure though. There's plenty of discussion here about the thermage..

Advanta is an implant used to diminish nasolabial folds. it takes about an hr. to perform the procedure and studies have shown a 95% patient satisfaction rate. a friend told me about this recently and there is some info on the web. good luck

I am going in tomorrow (oops, today) to get collagen in those "laugh lines" and vertical lines in the lips. I am going to ask my derm about the more permanent fillers. I'm a little hesitant to get them at this time because it seems that if it is not put in the proper spot, it can look funny and then you have to get it taken out or redone.

I am so thankful for this board. It is informative and is a wealth of information to people everywhere. Should I decide to get any procedure done, I know that I can look here first to see what the response is on it.

Thanks to all.

I went in today to see my derm to get my "laugh lines" and "worm lips" filled out. I had the collagen. I asked him about the Artecoll and he told me that as soon as it is approved for use in the US, he will probably begin using it. I'm really glad that he is being so careful because it just hasn't been tested enough (what he told me) and I would rather wait than get something that might pose problems down the road.

Question: Has anyone else that has had collagen have it hurt BAD? I'm talking it brought tears to my eyes! Man, that sh** hurts! But it's so worth it to me. I guess it's because the needle is so fine. By the time he was through, I had blood all over my dern face and it was red! lol. God, what we go through in the name of beauty!!!
