And I have searched.
Is itching and a little sharp pain/burning feeling in the ribs (right/left hand side) anything to do with a fatty liver because I'm not so sure from what I have read. I'm a bit confussed. :confused:

have you had an ultrasound? You could have gallstones.. ask your GI for one and keep us posted.

I've had an ultra sound and half a dozen blood tests and everything came back fine apart from one lot of the bloods which said I had raised enzymes. The liver consultant said he is pretty sure it's just a fatty liver. Have to go and see him again soon just for another set of tests to see if my enzymes are back to normal, which I hope they are.

I went back to speak to my doctor this morning and told him about the pains/itching/burning in my left/right side of my ribs and he said that's it's because I'm a bit overweight and my stomach is pushing against my ribs and thats whats causing the pain. I asked if it would be to do with an inflamed liver and he said it's unlikely. :confused:
