Hi, i am a 22yo male about to be 23
Ok so I feel like i have been having problems of some sort for the past year / 1.5 years. It hasn't really gotten worse tho. My BM has looked like small pieces smushed togerher into bigger pieces. Sometimes in the cracks between the pieces it looks like there might be blood. Also it feels a lot of times like its hard to begin with then gets softer.
There has never been blood on the toilet paper. This all started 1.5 years ago when i was VERY constipated and had to force it for about 20 minutes. There was blood right after that.
Right now it is somewhat itchy down there, and every so often it hurts a little. Sometimes it hurts to go to the bathroom but not a LOT.
In terms of diet that might be causing this, i have been on a relatively low-carb high protein diet for at least the past year.
thanks for all yoru help.
edit: something else to think about. I am allergic to soy. I used to eat a lot of those fake sugar alcohol things. They gave me BAD gas, and stomach pains that would keep me up all night.

I'm also 23 and have had similar problems with blood on toilet paper after straining, itching, pain etc. It sounds like you have hemorrhoids which can be caused by excessive straining, being overweight, pregnant, etc. Add more fiber in your diet. It wouldn't hurt to bring these problems up with your doctor either. He can prescribe some medicine.

It sounds like you are not getting enough fiber in your diet--- A person needs 25 to 35 grams of fiber daily..
IT also needs to be both soluble and insoluble fiber.
