I was 203 pounds and a size 22 a year and a half ago......and now I'm 143 pounds and a size 4/6. The thing is I still feel like a fat cow, I feel so bloated.
Everybody tells me how thin I am, why do I feel so fat?
I don't think I'm anorexic, because I weigh 143.
I just hate the way I look and feel. What is wrong with me?

hi there - you don't have to weigh 100 pounds to have an ED. How did you lose that weight in a year - did you use proper nutrition and exercise or did you restrict and purge? How you feel about your body and feel about food will also help you answer your question. Have you thought about a nutritionist or a dietician. They will have you keep food journals and they can look at what you eat, are there pages and pages of the same five things that are "allowable" to eat? Are there lots of nonfat or "diet" type foods. I call that person you are talking about "the fat girl" and wow how I hate the fat girl. No matter what i weigh I always see her when I look in the mirror. if you are throwing up you will feel bloated, you can also feel bloated if you are starving - strange as it sounds. Im certain the others in the forum will have a lot to say. It sounds like you are struggling I really am sorry for that.....

I lost the weight responsibly. I followed a low carb diet and did the taebo workout everyday....both of which I am still doing. No, I'm not vomiting or starving myself. I know everyone says I look great, but why do I feel that I
look so fat every time I look in the mirror?

sunshine- it could be that you were at a higher weight for a long enough period that you are not used to being smaller and you still feel/see the larger you when you look in the mirror. you might have a distorted image of yourself.

i think every woman feels fat every now and then or just has 'ugly days' and it becomes a worry when she takes action and starts hurting herself because of low self esteem. it might be a good idea to see a therapist so you can work on building up positive body image. you'll be able to appreciate yourself for who you are and also for your body and all the amazing things it does 24/7 to keep you alive- and hopefully feel happy about yourself, whether you are a size 4 or a size 22, 'cause you're still the same person either way.

hang in there :)
