yes, anxiety can cause palpitations and skipped beats. I have them frequently with my attacks. I have been told to just try to stay calm and keep telling myself that I am fine and this too shall pass.

hi there,

'palpitations', 'flutters', 'skipped beats', and so forth are all symptoms of anxiety (which ive had too as it happens), and often i get stomach symptoms along with them. Your EKG is fine, so, relax! if they were worried, they would have given u a 24hr monitor (which you wear) to monitor your heart rhythms and so forth over the course of a day - but they would only usually do this if there was something amiss, EKG's are pretty damn conclusive.

oh, I hate hate hate that feeling!!! I had 2 ekg's and they were normal. it is normal to get this with anxiety although it is scary...sometimes I feel as if my heart stops for a moment but it doesn't or I would be dead.

also remember that tummy probs and anxiety go hand and hand and vise versa!
