All birth control has the potential to clear acne, although Ortho Tri-Cyclen is the only pill approved by the FDA for this purpose.
Anyway, it can take several months for the acne to get better. Most women find that their acne gets worse while using the pill before it gets better, too. The pill doesn't clear acne overnight-- you'll need to take the pill for several months to get the maximum benefit.

I take Yasmin but I don't have an acne problem so unfortunately I don't know. But I have noticed that my face is not as greasy and it is a lot drier if that helps any.

I think Yasmin does help with keeping your face clear. I was on Ortho before and didn't notice much of a difference. When I went to see a dermatologist earlier this year I told her that Ortho did not work for me. She suggested Yasmin. I suppose it depends on what is the cause of your acne. If you have hormonal acne then most BC will help. I asked my derm to prescribe minocycline. The mino made my face clear and the Yasmin helped to maintain it.
