I have been reading all over that Omega-3 fish oils are very good in the treatment of BPD. Has anyone used this supplement, and if you did, what kind of results did you experience? Did it help you any, and if it didn't, did you experience any other kind of health benefits?

Thanks for all imput.

I started taking fish oil capsules for a short while, but couldn't take what I've heard called the fishy tasting "seal burps", so I switched to flax seed oil capsules. Now, I have BP II, so I have no clue if this helps with mania or not. But it did take the edge off my depression. I'm now on Lithium and other things too, but I still take 4 capsules (1000mg each) both morning and evening. I was on meds prior to starting the flax seed oil capsules, but I was still having a good bit of depression.

The only other good effect that I can tie to the flax seed oil is that my cholesterol dropped from about 210 to around 155, and has stayed that way.
